Located in the highly sought after Lower Mission area, Mission Meadows is the perfect place for anyone who loves the beach, running, biking, sports, waterparks, ect. H2O Adventure and Fitness Center is just a 4 minute drive (20 minute walk) from the complex. H2O is the largest municipal water park in Canada, with over 1 million gallons of water. If you prefer to get your exercise on solid ground, there is also the Mission Recreational Park. There you will find 6 softball courts, 7 soccer fields (in case you ever need that many), as well as other facilities. If you just want to take the dog for a run, check out the Mission Creek Greenway, it is a beautiful 16.5 km stretch along Mission Creek with multiple entrances.
If you like wine, you'll love Mission Meadows. There are 10 wineries and vineyards within a 15 minute drive, including Summerhill Pyramid Winery, Vibrant Vine, and Kelowna's only honey winery called Meadow Vista Honey Wine. Having personally visited all of these wineries, I can assure you they make great wine and all have a very friendly atmosphere.
If beer is more to your liking, the main concentration of breweries is around the downtown area, just 10 minutes from Mission Meadows.
The Lakeshore and Mission Park Shopping Centers make shopping a breeze. Less than 5 minutes from Mission Meadows, you can find a selection of grocery stores, liquor stores, and pharmacies. There you will also find banking, insurance, coffee, pet supplies, travel agents, and so much more. Everything you need is there!
